Vanessa is a British/Peruvian filmmaker, currently working between Peru, Spain and the UK. She has 8 years of experience working in the industry doing TV Shows, feature films, animations, short films, documentaries, music videos and commercials. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Communications from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in 2016.
Her first incursion into the film industry was as an Assistant Director and Script in the film "El amor y esas cosas" from Director Javier Echevarría. She has also worked as a Production Assistant for the blockbuster "Margarita" by Director Frank Pérez-Garland as well as in "La Pasión de Javier", a period film based on the life of the guerrilla poet Javier Heraud and in "Una Navidad en Verano" Directed by Ricardo Moran.
She has also been part of many highly critically acclaimed short films such as "Desierto Circular" by Luis Portocarrero, shown at the Cannes Short Film Corner and winner of the Galata Frame International Film Festival in 2019. Her personal feature film project was also selected by the Ficci (Cartagena International Film Festival) for the Producers meeting in 2018 and she also participated in the documentary “Central” which won the VI National Short Film Festival "Así es mi Perú" of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture in 2016.
She is Passionate about Color Grading and has been recently getting involved in post production. She has worked as a Colourist in different media content and is currently working in "Tantas veces Tú" a short film which is in post-production stage for a prompt distribution at festivals.
Her objective is to create audiovisual content that connects with humans on an emotional level and generate reflection on issues that are often forgotten. Vanessa is another human-being who celebrates the beauty of existence as well as bringing new ideas to life.
